I am a mother of a hero,,really he is a hero .AbdelRahman is 14years ..he has a long journey with hemophilia ..
Abdelrahman is my first child ..he was born normally but when umbilical fell off following his birth he star to bleed and took a longer period to heal .
During circumcision, there was severe bleeding and he was admitted to el Shatby Children Hospital and was diagnosed as a Hemophiliac So he was diagnosed at 40 days & the diagnosis was confirmed at 6 month of age after we repeated all the analysis in MoH& NMO.
I remember the first time I see his first tooth. I see it with blood. .every time he bleed when he get a new tooth ..he dreams of played football and every time he try he was hurt.many times I wake him and see blood fell from his mouth ..he tried to ride a bike but his ankle hurt ..
it was very hard for us ..hard to see your son can’t do anything ..
He can’t write for long time ..
He can’t live his life like other kids..
hard to see that every thing can hurt him ..hard to spend your life in hospital and Injection..hard to see that the most color you had see on skin of my baby is red and blue ..
hard to see that my community didn’t know about hemophilia .
I was worried about his life, so I listened to other people’s and doctor’s advices. we made everything that surrounded him safe (His toys clothes, home, school… .etc. ). He wasn’t allowed to play any kind of sport except for swimming. We told everyone about his case and how to deal with it. And instead of playing sports, he started learning about programming and now, participates in robotics competitions.
Yesterday I saw that I could not take my child to safety … But today I stand to say that we have been able to defeat hemophilia. Hemophilia is not a hindrance to the exercise of our lives .. Hemophilia was a motivation for success..
Abdul Rahman is always in the top positions in education …. He got first positions in the field of robot and traveled abroad in competitions ..Now my country support us and it do the best for our children ..they started to awareness campaigns about hemophilia..They try to provide treatment for the patients .. They help parents deal with their children ..
14 years I will not be able to narrate it in brief,
